Plans and limits

What do Polpo Desk plans limit? Users, concurrent connections, address book, daily time and extra connections; upgrading and extending your plan.

Last updated:

In Polpo Desk, every account (organization) is on a plan. New accounts start on the Free plan; to move to a paid plan, use the Subscription section of the web panel. Because prices change from time to time, this article doesn't list amounts; you can see current prices in the pricing section of our website and in the panel.

Only the organization's administrator sees the Subscription menu. Buying plans, payments, invoices and cancellation are handled by the administrator.

What does a plan card show?

In the Panel → Subscription → Buy / upgrade plan, each plan is listed as a card. The card shows these limits and features:

On the cardMeaning
usersHow many people can have an active account in the organization
concurrent connectionsHow many remote sessions your organization can have open at the same time
up to N with add-onsThe maximum you can reach by buying extra connections
devices (address book)How many devices you can keep in the address book
N min/dayThe daily total connection time limit, if there is one

Below that, the features included in the plan are listed: Connect on the same network by IP or computer name (on every plan), Privacy mode, Role management, Mobile app (on every plan) and Phone support. A feature shown greyed out is not included in that plan.

The +VAT mark next to the price means the amount shown excludes VAT. VAT is added at checkout, and the rate is shown in the order summary.

The Free plan

The Free plan is for personal use only; business use and customer support require a paid plan. The Free plan has the lowest number of users and connections, may have a daily connection time limit, and doesn't include privacy mode or role management. The current limits are shown on the Free plan card.

What happens when you reach a limit?

  • Concurrent connections: If you try to connect while the limit is full, the operator app shows "Your concurrent connection limit has been reached (…). Upgrade your plan." Close an open session or buy extra connections.
  • Daily time: If your plan has a daily limit and you've used it up, the warning "Your daily connection time is used up (… min). Upgrade your plan." appears; you can connect again the next day or upgrade your plan.
  • Address book: When the address book is full, new devices aren't saved to it, but you can still connect. Delete devices to make room.
  • Users: If your user allowance is full, you can't add new users. See Adding users and roles for details.

Monthly or yearly, and currency

Above the plan cards are a Monthly / Yearly switch and a currency selector (₺ TRY, € EUR, $ USD). The prices on the cards change with your choice. Renewal orders are created in the same period and currency as your order.

Extra concurrent connections

On some plans you can buy extra connections on top of the included number:

  • When ordering: choose a quantity in the Extra concurrent connections box in the first checkout step.
  • Mid-period: use the Buy extra connections button on the Your current plan card. Extra connections are valid until the end of the period and are charged pro rata for the remaining days.

Reducing the quantity takes effect at renewal; extra connections are not refunded. If you're already at your plan's cap, upgrade to a larger plan for more.

Upgrading, changing and extending

  • Moving to a larger plan: while you have a paid plan, click Change on another plan's card. The value of the remaining time on your current plan is deducted from the order (Credit for remaining time on current plan), and the new plan starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. When upgrading, choose the same currency as your current plan.
  • Moving to a smaller plan: possible once your current period has ended.
  • Renewing the same plan: use Renew on your own card or Extend on the Your current plan card to add 1 month or 1 year. The new period is added on top of your current end date.
If you're on a plan prepared especially for you (marked For you), the next-period order is created automatically before the period ends, so you don't need to extend it yourself.

When the period ends

Seven days before the end date, a renewal order is created at the plan's current price and appears in the panel as Payment due. For payment options see Paying by card or bank transfer; for renewal and cancellation see Cancelling and renewing your subscription.
