Uninstalling the operator app

Remove the Windows operator app from its Settings or the Windows Apps list, and the macOS app from the Applications folder.

Uninstalling the operator app only removes the program from this computer. Your account, device list and settings stay on the server; when you reinstall the app and sign in, you get all of them back.

Windows app

Method 1: From the app's Settings

  1. Open Polpo Desk Operatör and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings at the bottom of the menu on the left.
  3. In the Application section, press Uninstall from this computer.
  4. Confirm the question Uninstall the operator console from this computer? The console will close.
  5. In the Windows User Account Control window, choose Yes.
  6. The console closes; when it's done, a message confirms that Polpo Desk Operatör has been removed.
The Uninstall from this computer button only appears while the installed copy of the app is open. If you're running it from the downloaded file (without installation), see the "Running without installation" section below.

Method 2: From Windows Settings

  1. In Windows, open Settings → Apps → Installed apps (on Windows 10: Settings → Apps → Apps & features).
  2. Find Polpo Desk Operatör in the list.
  3. Choose Uninstall, grant administrator permission and answer Yes when asked whether Polpo Desk Operatör should be removed from this computer.
The Polpo Desk entry in the list is the client used on the side receiving support. If you only want to remove the operator app, make sure you select Polpo Desk Operatör. To remove the client: Uninstalling the client.

The uninstaller's own confirmation and completion messages are currently shown in Turkish.

What is removed?

  • Desktop and Start menu shortcuts
  • The entry in the Windows Apps list
  • The app's local data (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Polpo Desk Operator)
  • The program folder (C:\Program Files\Polpo Desk Operator)

Any other console windows open during uninstallation are closed as well. The client (C:\Program Files\Polpo Desk) is not affected.

Running without installation

If you ran the app from the downloaded PolpoDesk-Operator.exe file without ever installing it:

  1. Close the console window.
  2. Delete the PolpoDesk-Operator.exe file.
  3. Optionally, also delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Polpo Desk Operator folder.

macOS app

  1. If Polpo Desk Operatör is open, quit it (Cmd+Q).
  2. Open the Applications folder in Finder.
  3. Drag the Polpo Desk Operatör app to the Trash.

Web console

The web console doesn't require installation, so there is nothing to remove. If you're on a shared computer, simply press Log out in the console's Settings when you're done.
